This, again, is the Boston Skyline, but this time you can see the Leonard P. Zakim-Bunker Hill Bridge on the right. That’s also Boston’s famous Old North Church behind the bridge. Finally, off to the left is Boston Garden (actually named the TD Banknorth Garden.) This is my second attempt at an HDR (High Dynamic Range) image, but it’s actually only one image with a faux HDR look, courtesy of Redynamix, Photoshop Elements 6.0, and Picassa 3.1. I know that it’s a bit on the artistic/creative side, but the original was rather plain, and not too inspiring. I enjoyed creating this version. The original data is as follows:
Nikon D200, ISO 100, exposure of 8.0 seconds at f5.6, +2/3, focal length of 170 (255–35mm equivalent)
very nice it gorgeous!!!!!I love it!!!!
Thank you for the kind comment!
I don’t know what HDR is, but it worked out. I’m curious about it, can you say a little more?
Great photo!
HDR=high dynamic range………it usually involves taking three (or five) exposures of a scene–one underexposed, one overexposed, and one properly exposed, and then combining them via Photoshop CS3 or PhotoMatix or the one I use Dynamic Photo HDR. You get one photo that show details in shadows and highlights. I also sometimes use ReDynamix, which imitates HDR on just one photo. Very interesting. Mitch
Great golden tones!
Thanks a lot, Rob!
GORGEOUS photo. Would look very nice framed and hanging in my house. 😀
Thank you very much!
Great picture. I love how the color of the sky and the water turned out.
Thank you. I appreciate your comments! Mitch
